Bulletin From Virginia Kirkus' Service was the title of an American review periodical for bookstores and libraries founded, and for a long time overseen, by Virginia Kirkus. Its exact title varied somewhat over time.
Publication History
Virginia Kirkus began her review periodical in New York in 1933. Her bulletins were originally titled Broadcast From the New York Office. They were renamed Bulletin From the New York Office in 1934, and Bulletin From Virginia Kirkus' Bookshop Service in 1936. The title shortened to Bulletin From Virginia Kirkus' Service in 1955. The present-day incarnation of this periodical is known as Kirkus Reviews.
