Southwestern Reporter

Southwestern Reporter, also known as the South Western Reporter, is an edited compilation of US state court rulings and opinions from Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas, published by West Publishing, now part of Thomson Reuters. It is published in multiple editions, initially in individual issues or online files, and later in "permanent edition" bound volumes.

Publication History

Southwestern Reporter began in 1886. A second series began in 1928, and a third in 1988. It is still published today. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is October 3-December 4, 1923 (v. 254 permanent edition), © January 19, 1924. (More details) Judicial rulings and opinions are in the public domain in many states, but some states may claim copyright over them, and West also claims copyright over the notes it adds.
