The Youth's Companion began in 1827. Some issues have "The Companion for All the Family" as their running head title. No issue copyright renewals were found for this serial. The first copyright-renewed contribution is from April 1929. (More details) In 1929, it was acquired and merged with The American Boy, which for some time afterward published as American Boy - Youth's Companion.
