Eckhart von Hochheim (c. 1260 – c. 1328), commonly known as Meister Eckhart (German: [ˈmaɪstɐ ˈɛkaʁt]), Master Eckhart or Eckehart, claimed original name Johannes Eckhart, was a German Catholic priest, theologian, philosopher and mystic.
