Guy's Hospital

St Thomas Street, Southwark. Founded in 1704 by Thomas Guy. Designed by Sir Thomas Dance from 1721, the East Wing was added in 1738-41 by James Steere after Dance's death in 1733 and the West Wing was added in 1774-7 by R Jupp Junior who also added the the stone-faced frontispiece.

Guy's Hospital is an NHS hospital founded by philanthropist Thomas Guy in 1721, located in the borough of Southwark in central London. It is part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and one of the institutions that comprise the King's Health Partners, an academic health science centre. It is the large teaching hospital of GKT School of Medical Education. (From Wikipedia)
