The Jungle Book is a children's book by Rudyard Kipling, containing seven stories, each with an accompanying poem, mostly set in the rainforests of India.
Bibliographic notes
The Jungle Book was first published in 1894. The stories in it had previously been published in magazines. A sequel with more stories, The Second Jungle Book, was published the following year.
