Henry IV, Part 2 is a play by William Shakespeare about the reign of King Henry IV of England. It is a direct sequel to his earlier play, Henry IV, Part 1.
Bibliographic notes
As with Shakespeare's other plays, there is no "original" manuscript or author-supervised publication of Henry IV, Part 2. It was first published in quarto form in 1600, in two different versions, one of which includes a scene not in the other. The play's next known publication is in the First Folio in 1623. More recent editions may draw from these and other sources.
